Description
We invite you to take part in a research study because you have inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and a condition called peripheral arthritis (pain in your joints). The purpose of this study is to better understand why some patients with IBD get peripheral arthritis, how it relates to IBD, and whether it gets better with certain medicines, including those used to treat IBD.
You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire at the start of the study asking about your medical history and current symptoms, allow our study team to review your medical records every time you go to see the doctor about your IBD or your joint pain over the course of the next year, and fill out surveys regarding how you are feeling at each standard visit with your doctor and sent to you via secure e-mail at 6 and 12 months. You will also allow us to contact you in between these scheduled times if any additional information about your medical history is needed.
Your participation in the research will last for 12 months, and the data obtained from this research will be securely stored in a registry to be used in future research studies.
