Description
Primary objective:
To investigate the expression of VISTA and related IC receptors in fresh breast tumor tissue (breast and lymph nodes) and autologous peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).
Secondary objective:
To develop a multiplex immunostaining protocol for examining the expression of VISTA and related ICRs in fixed tumor tissue.
Inclusion Criteria
Female patients above 18 years
Diagnosis of invasive breast cancer
Minimum breast tumor size of 1 cm
Subjects must have the ability to understand and the willingness to sign a written informed consent document.
Exclusion Criteria
Stage IV breast cancer
History of immunodeficiency
