And he completed a Cardiovascular Anesthesiology fellowship at the Instituto Nacional de Cardiologia Ignacio Chavez in Mexico. He also completed an internship and residency at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Perilla has published several peer-reviewed articles and lectured on topics such as Difficult Airway, Fiberoptic endoscopy in Anesthesiology and Anesthesia and Coronary artery disease.
