First of all Dr. Mesko told me what I had to do health wise before he would do the surgery so that I wouldn't be at risk. I followed his instructions and got weight and blood pressure under control. Prior to surgery date I cracked a tooth and had to have dental work done so the original surgery date had to be changed. Nurse Rachael coordinated that situation well with the me & Dr. Mesko surgery surgery. . PAC Casandra Frederick got me squared away with therapy & preparation for a successful surgery. Dr. Mesko also listened to my concerns about narcotics since I have been active in AA for 43 years.

Reviewed on Feb 13, 2024
We had discussed my treatment plan 3 months ago. I did everything he wanted me to do. I visited another doctor for possible care but eventually turned down a possible experimental surgery from that doctor. That doctor wasn't even sure that surgery would work and the waiting period for tests was taking a very long time and wasn't even addressing my main issue. I believe Dr. Mesko was upset with me this day for cancelling tests with the other doctor. It seemed like my whole treatment going forward is now not being considered high risk as previously.
