The Cleveland Clinic Pediatric Sleep Program is led by Jyoti Krishna, MD, a pediatrician
fellowship-trained in sleep medicine.
Sleep disturbances are often due to temporary or chronic medical problems and are seen in as many as 10 to 15 percent of infants and children. When they occur frequently, evaluation and treatment by a specialist in pediatric sleep disorders can help.
Cleveland Clinic's Pediatric Sleep Disorders Program specializes in treating infants, children and adolescents with sleep problems. Specialists in child neurology, pulmonary medicine, pediatrics, child psychology and ear nose and throat surgery are available to treat a variety of disorders including bedtime struggles, nighttime awakenings, night terrors, sleepwalking, snoring, sleep apnea, bed-wetting, narcolepsy and nocturnal seizures.
After obtaining a thorough medical and sleep history, all children receive a physical examination to identify any medical problems. Behavioral techniques and adjustment of children's sleep schedules can be helpful in many instances.
