MyChart Bedside Support

What is MyChart Bedside?

MyChart Bedside is considered MyChart for "Inpatient" – in the hospital, observation or Emergency Department (ED).

When you’re admitted or arrive at the ED or unit, and you’re already a MyChart user, you’ll receive a text notification inviting you to “view hospital stay.” If you don’t have MyChart yet, you’ll get a text or email with instructions on how to sign up so you can access your hospital stay details.

There’s no need to download anything extra. If you’re already using MyChart, the app will automatically recognize when you’ve been admitted and switch over to the inpatient view for you. It’s seamless and designed to keep things simple and convenient during your stay.

Additional Information and Screenshots for MyChart Bedside

You will only be able to view "My Hospital Stay" on the MyChart mobile app. This view is not available on the webpage version of MyChart (i.e., Chrome or Edge browser).

The "Discharge Checklist" feature is designed to show you all the discharge milestones that are relevant to your hospital stay. Unlike other activities in Bedside, the "Discharge Checklist" doesn’t appear in the menu right away when you’re admitted. Instead, it becomes visible once your care team adds a patient-facing discharge milestone.
