Do your procrastination, disorganization and other executive function challenges negatively affect your child's grades? Families are invited to participate in skills training to learn how to increase efficiency with schoolwork.

Targeted skills include*:

  • Prioritizing/Goal Setting/Planning (Time Estimation)
  • Organizing (Time and Materials)
  • Task Initiation (e.g., homework, chores, self-care, etc.)
  • Shifting/Flexible Problem-Solving
  • Self-Monitoring/Self-Checking
  • Remembering/Working Memory

*This group focuses on behaviors not academic tutoring.

Organizational & Executive Function Skills Training Dates: Fall 2020

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) crisis, Fall 2020 Sessions will be conducted as virtual visits.  Age range of each group will be dependent upon applications received.  Additional fall sessions to be scheduled pending applications / interest.

Elementary / Middle School: Parent Only

Thursday evenings from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
4 weeks starting Thursday, September 24th – Thursday, October 15th

Purpose of Parent Sessions

The purpose of the parent coaching group is to learn about the role of executive function skills, and teach parent tools and strategies to help your child manage their executive function challenges.

High School (9th–12th grades): Parent & Teen (approximately 45 minutes each)

Tuesday evenings from 4:00PM – 5:30PM
4 weeks starting Tuesday, September 22nd – Tuesday, October 13th

Purpose of Teen Sessions

The purpose of the teen group is to learn and apply effective skills and strategies to support your teen’s executive functioning at home and school.
