Menopause Program
Hot flashes. Sweating. Weight gain. Sleepless nights. Forgetfulness. Who’s in charge here? You or your body?
You’ve seen information about menopause treatment programs to help you better manage your symptoms. And you may be wondering if that’s really possible. It is — and Cleveland Clinic has you covered.
How We Can Help
Typical menopause programs usually last three to six months. Our nine-month program goes further with ongoing care and support to help you achieve meaningful, lasting results.
Guided by a Menopause Society–certified doctor, our program combines advanced testing and wearable technology with personalized care from menopause experts across multiple specialties.
Getting started with menopause care
Your care starts with a complete picture of your health. We build that picture during an in-depth assessment at our downtown clinic. During this visit, we’ll learn what you’re experiencing and what matters most to you, laying the foundation for your individualized menopause treatment plan.
During your visit, you’ll meet with a doctor specializing in menopause care, along with a registered dietitian and an exercise specialist. Our team will go over your medical history and explore any physical, emotional and cognitive changes you’ve experienced so far.
Testing that focuses on you
By customizing the latest testing and diagnostics to your needs, we use what we discover about your current health to help lay the foundation for a nine-month plan to manage your symptoms and improve your lifestyle.
Testing may include:
How We Support You Along the Way
Throughout the next nine months, you’ll meet regularly with your doctor and registered dietitian. This allows our team to keep a close eye on your progress and refine your plan as needed. It also helps us find the best ways to maximize your wellness and protect your long-term health.
Tools for feeling better now and later
We’re here to provide you with the guidance and tools you need to manage symptoms and thrive in this next chapter of your life once your program ends. We can help you:
- Manage your symptoms: Hormonal and/or nonhormonal treatments to relieve your menopause symptoms
- Protect your brain health: Practices and foods to protect brain health during the menopause transition and beyond
- Manage your stress and sleep habits: Techniques to manage stress and improve sleep quality
- Support your heart and metabolic health: Nutritional and fitness guidance for maintaining energy and supporting heart and bone health.
- Tackle inflammation: Guidance on foods and supplements that can reduce inflammation and support overall health
Technology that listens to your body
As part of the program, you’ll receive an Oura Ring® with a one-year subscription. This wearable tracks your biometrics between visits, giving your care team insights to guide your journey. You’ll be able to see patterns in your sleep periods, your daily activity and how you handle stress. This information can help you stay on track and make the most of your program.
