Choosing a Logo

Cleveland Clinic Logo

Cleveland Clinic’s logo consists of a symbol and a name. But it’s more than that. It’s our identity – a statement of who and what we are. And that’s a valuable asset.

That’s why it’s so important to respect and protect Cleveland Clinic’s logo by using it correctly. These guidelines will explain how.

Our brand guidelines do not allow the design of logos or individual graphic identifiers for programs, groups, clinical trials, etc., as we are all one Cleveland Clinic.

Cleveland Clinic Logo

What our logo communicates

Through its design, Cleveland Clinic’s logo conveys our heritage as a medical pioneer and our current position as a premier healthcare institution.

The symbol

The four cornerstones in our symbol:

  • Represent the four facets of our mission: patient care (clinical and hospital), education and research.
  • Honor our four founders.
  • Symbolize our fundamental values: quality, innovation, teamwork and service.

The center of the symbol represents our unified focus on putting “Patients First.”

The colors

The colors of Cleveland Clinic’s symbol are inspired by our heritage. Green is the color of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation logo and is traditionally associated with medical science. Blue is the color of the Cleveland Clinic health system logo and suggests limitless possibility.

The font

Cleveland Clinic’s name is set in a clean, modern, unembellished font. It makes an immediate impact.

Cleveland Clinic Children’s Logo

Cleveland Clinic Logo

Cleveland Clinic Children’s is a sub-brand of Cleveland Clinic. Its logo shares Cleveland Clinic’s logo colors, font and Cleveland Clinic name. But, because Cleveland Clinic Children’s serves a distinct patient population, its logo uses a distinct symbol with a child’s handprint.

Uses

Use the Cleveland Clinic Children’s logo on any applications that reflect serving a pediatric patient audience. If the application is for both Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland Clinic Children’s, use the combined logo (contact us to request this logo).
