Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery

Cedric Sheffield, MD is a graduate of Florida State University where he received his undergraduate degree in chemistry, he then continued his education receiving his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Sheffield proceeded his studies postgraduate with an internship at Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals in general surgery. He also  participated in a residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Sheffield ended his postgraduate medical training with a fellowship  in thoracic surgery/transplantation at Cleveland Clinic Ohio for which he received the Bryan Award for Clinical Excellence in 1999.

In 2014, Dr. Sheffield joined Cleveland Clinic Florida in the department of thoracic and cardiovascular  surgery. He is a board-certified surgeon and is a member of the Chairman's Gold Award LifeLink Foundation.

Dr Sheffield really listened and I believe cares about me. Heart surgery is very scary for me but I believe Dr Sheffield is an expert in what he does and that he will do his best to help me live longer than what my genetics seem to have lined up for me.
