Biography
Paul VanWiechen, Director of Exercise Physiology, joined the Cleveland Clinic Canada team in 2006. An accomplished physiologist, Mr. VanWiechen is experienced in working in multidisciplinary teams to accurately assess and improve the physical fitness of complex cases. He has assessed and counseled various populations on exercise and fitness, including athletes with heart and lung conditions, people with multiple chronic diseases and persons for whom proper exercise plans might require coordinated opinions from multiple specialists. He also earned his specialty designations as a Certified Exercise Physiologist from the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiologists and Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist from the American College of Sports Medicine.
