Biography
Raisah Mohamed is a Sports Medicine Physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada.
Dr. Mohamed earned her Doctor of Medicine from Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University. She also obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and her Master of Science in Biomechanics from Queen’s University. She completed her family medicine residency at the University of Toronto and was a Chief Resident in the senior year of her training. In recognition for this work, Dr. Mohamed received the Sunnybrook Academic Family Health Team Residency Advocacy and Leadership Award. Finally, Dr. Mohamed completed her fellowship/enhanced-skills training at the University of Toronto in Sport and Exercise Medicine.
In addition to her published work on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, Dr. Mohamed has extensive experience on the medical teams of several sports organizations. She has been the Junior Team Physician for the University of Toronto’s Women’s Hockey Team and the University of Toronto’s Men’s Soccer Teams, while also supporting team physicals, sporting events, and games for many others.
When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Mohamed enjoys hiking, travelling and trying out different pizza places in the city.
