Biography
Martin Sommerfeld, MD., is the Co-Director of Cleveland Clinic Canada’s Preventive Medicine service. Dr. Sommerfeld holds clinical interests in preventive and behavioural health, weight and lifestyle management, and pre- and post-operative bariatric care. He has taught clinical ethics and medical professionalism and has served on research ethics boards.
He is a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and the Canadian, Ontario, and British Columbia Medical Associations.
A passion for the world of medicine, Dr. Sommerfeld spends his free time mentoring family medicine residents and chairing a number of continuing medical education (CME) groups.
