Biography
Saralaine Johnstone, MD, CCFP, FCPC, is the Director of Medical Operations and an Executive Health physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada. As the Director of Medical Operations, Dr. Johnstone oversees the clinic to ensure that a timely and high-quality patient experience is delivered. As an Executive Health physician, Dr. Johnstone works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians to provide comprehensive medical assessments for patients.
Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Johnstone received her medical degree from McMaster University and completed her Family Medicine Residency training at the University of Manitoba. After graduation, Dr. Johnstone worked in Northern Ontario for several years, providing comprehensive medical care, where she was involved in clinic and hospital management, and was a member of a committee which negotiated with the provincial government for a new contract for rural physicians.
For the past seven years, she lived in Australia where she worked as part of multidisciplinary clinical team that provided Executive Health physicals. Advancing her physician leadership and professional development, she concurrently earned her Masters of Health Services Management from the University of New South Wales.
Dr. Johnstone has a keen interest in helping her patients maximize their short-term well-being, and long-term health status with a patient-centered and individualized approach.
