Biography

Priya Shah, RN(EC), NP-PHC, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Executive Health Program in her role as Nurse Practitioner. As a Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Shah is able to order and interpret diagnostic tests, communicate diagnoses, prescribe medication and perform specific procedures and will be a great clinical resource for our Urgent Care patients.

Born in Tanzania and raised in Toronto, Ms. Shah completed her Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing degree from Queen’s University. After graduating, Ms. Shah continued her studies and training at McMaster University to become a Nurse Practitioner. After years of clinical experience, Ms. Shah has recently become a candidate for a Masters degree in Nursing at the University of Toronto.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Canada, Ms. Shah worked as a primary care provider and co-chair of Clinical Operations at the Scarborough Academic Family Health Team. In this role, she not only worked with an interdisciplinary team to provide patients with clinical health assessments but also helped manage the clinical team. Ms. Shah also cared for acutely ill patients at the St. Michael Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. Driven by a need to help others, Ms. Shah has also trained nursing staff in India’s Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and volunteered her medical services at the Scarborough Community Volunteer Clinic in Toronto.

In her spare time, Ms. Shah likes to spend time with family and friends, cooking and traveling.
