Biography
Sharon Mintz, MD, is the Director of Preventive Medicine and also manages the comprehensive Executive Health Program at Cleveland Clinic Canada.
Dr. Mintz received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto followed by enrollment in the Master of Social Work program at Carlton University. In 1979, she earned her medical degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and moved to Montreal, Quebec to complete her post-graduate work at McGill University.
In 1981, Dr. Mintz received her Certificate of the College of Family Physicians certification (CCFP), and was awarded a fellowship from the College of Family Physicians in 2005. Throughout her career, she has served on multiple committees at the university level in both undergraduate and graduate education. Over the years, she balanced her time as a community doctor in a private practice and the Family Practice Unit at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. She has taught in the Family Practice Program at McGill University and the University of Toronto. Committed to the advancement of medicine, she has been involved in a multitude of academic and research committees and published both peer and non-peer reviewed journals.
