Biography
Michèle Lortie, RN, is a Registered Nurse at Cleveland Clinic Canada. As part of the Executive Health nursing team, she works with physicians to support patients in their efforts to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Born in the Laurentians, she graduated with a nursing degree from Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology in Hamilton, Ontario, earning placements on the Dean’s Honour List. She completed her clinical training at McMaster Hospital, Hamilton General Hospital, and Joseph Brant MemorialHospital. After her training, she promptly began a patient centered nursing career at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington, Ontario. For the next twelve years, she provided care and leadership to the surgical ward as well as the orthopedic and gynecology departments. In addition to being a patient advocate, Ms. Lortie dedicated her time to training and mentoring nursing students and colleagues. She is an active member of the Ontario Nurses' Association.
On the weekends, Ms. Lortie enjoys going to the gym and theatres as well as spending time with her family and dog, Boomer. She is also fluent in both English and French.
