Biography

Linda Meyers is a psychotherapist at Cleveland Clinic Canada. As part of the psychology team, Ms. Meyers helps her patients find the right path to psychological and emotional wellness. During her career, Ms. Meyers has provided psychotherapy and counselling to individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings.  In addition to being a member of Cleveland Clinic Canada’s psychology team, she also operates a private psychotherapy practice in Toronto.

Born in Toronto, Ms. Meyers graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from York University, then continued her education and earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto.  Her extensive experience includes working as part of an interdisciplinary team in the Department of Psychiatry at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where she developed expertise in mood and anxiety disorders, and patients coping with chronic illness.  She has also worked in the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital and at Delisle Youth Services, a treatment agency for adolescents.  She has received training in cognitive behavioural therapy and emotion focused therapy.  She has also participated in teaching for psychiatry residents and workshops for community groups in the area of families coping with mental illness.

In her spare time, Ms. Meyers enjoys cooking, exercising, and going to the movies.
