Biography

Cassandra Reid is a Registered Dietitian on staff with Cleveland Clinic Canada where she supports the Executive Health program. In addition to general nutritional expertise, Ms. Reid specializes in weight loss and weight gain, hyperlipidemia, high blood pressure, diabetes, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disorders, Celiac, and lifespan nutrition for pre- and post-natal, family nutrition and athletes.  She is also a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario, Dietitians of Canada, and the Consulting, Diabetes, Obesity and Cardiovascular Networks.

Raised in the Bahamas, she received her Bachelors of Arts from Bishops University in Quebec and The College of Charleston in South Carolina. Following her passion for nutrition, she received her Bachelor of Applied Science in Food and Nutrition from Ryerson University and completed a comprehensive dietetic internship at the University Health Network (Toronto Western, Princess Margaret and Toronto General Hospitals).  At the University Health Network, she worked with research on how malnutrition effects liver transplant patients leading to significant changes in nutrition care plans for this population.  She has also shared her expertise with The Globe and Mail, Chatelaine, Global TV, Grey Ridge Egg Farms, and EYE Magazine.

Ms. Reid enjoys exercising, running, skiing, cooking, spending time with family and raising three daughters with her husband.
