Horacio Pizzanelli is an exercise physiologist at Cleveland Clinic Canada. In his role, Mr. Pizzanelli designs personalized exercise training programs that support disease prevention and help Executive Health patients achieve their health and fitness goals. Working closely with his patients, training schedules are created using data from health assessments and exercise tests results, in collaboration with preventive health professionals and sports medicine physicians.
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Mr. Pizzanelli earned a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University after completing a Fitness and Health Promotion Diploma at Humber College. Mr. Pizzanelli has counseled athletes and patients recovering from illness and injury. Prior to Cleveland Clinic Canada, Mr. Pizzanelli worked with The Hospital for Sick Children, Ontario Lacrosse and The Canadian Back Institute.
Mr. Pizzanelli works with his patients to reduce injury, ensure an effective recovery and achieve optimal physical performance. Mr. Pizzanelli has specialized skills to address sport-related concussions and pain patterns related to athletic performance. Expanding his expertise in sport health and sport training, Mr. Pizzanelli is a certified Functional Ability Evaluation (FAE) examiner.
Mr. Pizzanelli is fluent in English and Spanish with special interests in sports and photography.
