Biography

Melissa Capozzolo is a Registered Nurse (RN) with Concierge Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Canada. Ms. Capozzolo has experience in hospital-based and community nursing, where she provided exceptional care, as well as social and emotional support, for many of the city’s most vulnerable patients.

After completing her Practical Nursing certification, Ms. Capozzolo started her nursing journey as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in acute care settings, including on-call agency work for various hospitals across the Greater Toronto Area and Toronto Public Health's Vaccine and Preventable Diseases program. After obtaining her RN license, she continued working in acute care with the Clinical Resource Team at Trillium Health Partners. Eventually, she earned a Charge Nurse role within the Emergency Department. During nursing school, she volunteered at North York Women's Shelter and continued her community involvement by working in a COVID Isolation and Recovery Hotel for people experiencing homelessness.

Ms. Capozzolo has a strong belief in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care and provides a holistic approach which includes a harm-reduction, anti-oppression, and trauma-informed framework.

When she’s not treating patients, Ms. Capozzolo enjoys playing soccer, reading fiction and non-fiction books, and spending time outdoors in nature.
