The One Day Joint Replacement Appointment prepares you before, during and after your surgery.
Now that your hip or knee replacement is scheduled, consider attending our Joint Replacement Concierge Clinic before your surgery.
This concierge program has been designed by your care team to answer your questions, ease your anxiety, and complete your appointments in one day. Feel free to invite family members or caregivers as this information will be useful before surgery and into your recovery.
What to expect in the class
The instructor will review pre-surgery preparations, planned hospital stays, and post-operative rehabilitation requirements. You’ll receive personalized attention and answers to
your questions which will help ease you into your surgery and recovery.
- Pre-anesthesia consultation: We review your medical and surgical history, prior anesthesia experiences, and previous test results like blood studies, EKG, etc. This will help determine if further testing is required.
- Social work: A social worker will help prepare a hospital discharge plan and address possible social concerns.
- Lab work: Complete pre-operative blood work.
- Imaging: Receive CT or X-rays, if required.
