Fitness Programs Included with Membership
Fitness Assessment and Exercise Prescription
Performed by our degreed exercise specialists, the first appointment is a fitness assessment consisting of a variety of tests designed to assess your present level of fitness. The second appointment is an exercise prescription where member are walked through their individualized exercise program. Members are encouraged to get a new assessment every six months and exercise prescription every two to three months, which is included free with your membership.
These are performed by our degreed exercise specialists offer two, one-hour sessions, which includes:
- Cardiopulmonary fitness test
- Muscular strength and flexibility test
- Blood pressure check
- Height, weight and body fat check composition featuring BodyMetrix
- 24-hour nutrition analysis and dietary assessment (completed by a registered dietitian)
- Personalized exercise program
- Tips on the correct way to operate equipment
Youth Exercise
Teenagers ages 13-15 years of age who belong to LifeStyles through a family membership must complete a one hour teen certification with an exercise specialist if they would like to use adult fitness equipment during dependent hours.
Unlimited Group Exercise Classes
Group exercise classes are open to all members, offered at a variety of times and suitable for all fitness levels. There is no charge for classes listed on the group exercise schedule. Approximately 75 classes are offered weekly in our studios or in the pool. Classes are subject to change based on interest and class size.
Programs for Seniors
RightFit - Free access for ages 65+
RightFit is a wellness program designed to help adults ages 65 and older improve their health at a comfortable pace. Services are provided by Cleveland Clinic Akron General LifeStyles at no cost.
Please register at one location. The RightFit program includes:
- Two free, low-intensity fitness classes each week that focus on cardio, strength and flexibility
- Free access to monthly presentations on the latest nutrition and fitness topics from a registered dietitian and fitness expert.
- Three convenient locations

Group Exercise
LifeStyles classes are scientifically-backed, showcase chart-topping music, inspiring qualified instructors and the latest cutting-edge choreography.
Group exercise classes are open to all members, offered at a variety of times and suitable for all fitness levels. There is no charge for most classes. Approximately 75 classes are offered weekly and subject to change based on interest and class size.

- Senior Fitness – work on balance, cardio, strength and flexibility
- Arthritis Wellness Program – overall wellness program that provides recommended exercises and education for anyone with arthritis
- Yoga Gold – can be performed in a chair
- Low Intensity Aqua Classes – classes take place in our warm water pool

Youth Programs
Activities for Families
Every Friday night, families are encouraged to participate in unrestricted dependent hours from 3 - 10 p.m. At this time, families can enjoy open gym, swimming, the rock wall and more!
Summer and holiday camps as well as Family Fun Nights and Parents’ Nights out are also offered at various times throughout the year.
Camps & Special Programs
A variety of camps for youth ages 3-14 years old will be offered throughout the year, including babysitting, summer camp, youth days, parents’ night out and special kids’ events!

At LifeStyles fitness center, dependents are defined as being ages 23 or younger. We offer reduced rates for dependents as part of our family membership.
