The Sarcoidosis Center of Excellence was founded to improve individual patient care, serve as a resource for patient and physician education, conduct research studies to understand the disease process of sarcoidosis in order to find alternative treatments for care, and raise public awareness about sarcoidosis through community outreach in Northeast Ohio.
SCOE serves as a point of referral for patients to receive optimal health care through a multi-disciplinary team approach with innovative methods of care and technology. Located in one of the world’s renowned clinical research facilities, The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, SCOE is committed to providing quality care to patients with single and multi-organ disease involvement. Our comprehensive health care includes specialists in pulmonary, ophthalmology, dermatology, and rheumatology who have expertise in sarcoidosis.
Committed to informing the medical community of advances and discoveries about sarcoidosis, SCOE provides opportunities for physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, and physician assistants to learn about current clinical care and research activities through its on-line presentations, seminars, and health talks.
We are providers of the American Medical Association approved Continuing Medical Education (CME) units for physicians and physician assistants; continuing education units by the Ohio Nurses Association for nurses; and the Ohio Respiratory Care Board for respiratory therapists.
