Our physicians and medical professionals provide preventive care and medical services to adults and children on Cleveland’s West Side. Our Center offers a broad spectrum of primary care — including internal medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics and behavioral health counseling — to serve the healthcare needs of you and your family.

All of our physicians maintain privileges at Fairview Hospital, which owns and operates the Westown Physician Center. In addition, all of our hospital care and most outpatient services (X-rays, medical tests, etc.) are provided at Fairview Hospital or one of its convenient outpatient centers.

General Internal Medicine

Our Internal Medicine staff provides comprehensive care for adults. They are specially trained to solve diagnostic problems and can handle chronic illnesses and situations. The internal medicine physicians provide preventive and primary care for a variety of common medical issues that patients encounter.

Obstetrics and Gynecology

The Westown Physician Center is dedicated to meeting the unique and changing medical needs of women of all ages.

Obstetricians and gynecologists offer specialized care for women:

  • Comprehensive prenatal care
  • Preventive health screenings
  • Birth control methods and general gynecology

If necessary, the expertise of other gynecologic specialists is available. Our team is expert in coordinated and supportive treatment of the health problems specific to women.


Midwives are educated and licensed professionals, who provide comprehensive care through pregnancy, labor, delivery and after, as well as offer routine gynecologic care for women of all ages. All Cleveland Clinic midwives are licensed by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing and certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives.


We understand the special needs of young patients. Our pediatricians offer complete care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents.

We encourage the healthy growth and development of children by emphasizing the importance of healthy lifestyles and educating parents and children on safety and accident prevention.

We are available for problems that require prompt attention, such as fever, earaches and injuries, as well as preventive checkups, school physicals and immunizations.

Fairview Hospital offers a full compliment of pediatric care including specialists, 24-hour pediatric emergency department, inpatient care and inpatient psychiatric care.

If necessary, we team up with Cleveland Clinic pediatric specialists from the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital.

Insurance & Financial Assistance

Westown Physician Center participates with most insurance plans — including Medicaid, Medicare and CareSource. Coverage limitations are dependent on individual group contracts. As a patient, you are responsible for paying co-pays, deductibles and any charges not covered by your insurance plan at the time of service. In compliance with the Ohio Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP), Fairview Hospital offers basic, medically necessary hospital-level services free of charge to Ohio residents whose incomes are at or below the Federal Poverty Income Guideline and who are not recipients of Medicaid.

Cuyahoga County Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a federally funded food supplement and nutrition education program. It serves pregnant and breast-feeding women, infants less than one year, and children up to the age of five who are at risk due to inadequate nutrition.

The Cuyahoga County WIC Program operates in Westown Physician Center and is available to our patients who meet eligibility requirements.
