Telemonitoring
Homecare Telemonitoring
Chronic diseases such as heart failure, diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder are on the rise and becoming increasingly complex to manage. Mercy Hospital’s Home Health & Hospice has a solution: telemonitoring, which allows nurses to collect patients’ vital signs - including weight, blood pressure, heart rate, temperature and oxygen saturation - via a telephone modem. Easy to use, the monitor verbally and visually prompts patients to answer a few questions and also serves as a medication reminder.
With telemonitoring, homecare clinicians can monitor patients in between visits giving patients and their families a sense of security.
