Overview
Cleveland Clinic Akron General has a team that works with patients to evaluate, diagnose and treat rheumatic diseases such as arthritis as well as conditions known as autoimmune disorders.
Our board certified rheumatologists and extended care providers will work closely with you and your primary care physician on developing a plan for treating rheumatic disorders, which could include:
- Arthritis and autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid, lupus, sjogrens, psoriatic arthritis, and vasculitis.
- Crystalline arthritis (gout and pseudogout).
- Osteoporosis.
Appointments & Locations
Patients are usually referred to a Rheumatologist after discussing their symptoms or conditions with their primary care provider, or after a trip to the emergency department.
