Miller Pavilion Pre-op

Our Pre-op area provides our same day surgery patients a quiet and comfortable, private atmosphere for their surgical preparation:

  • 12 patient private rooms
  • Staggered shifts provide optimal coverage for all portions of the day
  • Duties include patient pre-op assessment, Accu-Chek and Hcg POCT, IV insertion, medication administration
  • 10 bay prep and hold area near operating room

Miller Pavilion Operating Rooms

  • Fifteen operating rooms (11 Cardiac, two Thoracic, and two Endovascular)
  • Two pediatric congenital heart operating rooms
  • Skill mix: RN 60%/ST 40%
  • Staffed 24 hours a day/seven days a week
  • Minimal Call Schedule
  • Shift and Specialty Unit Differential
  • Expanded OR Team Concept
