The Department of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology offers a challenging and exciting environment for Anesthesia Specialists. Anesthesia Specialists work in the cardiac and thoracic operating rooms and perform functions associated with equipment management and set up, inventories, and infection control.
Responsibilities of the Anesthesia Specialist include:
- Operating room set up
- Materials management
- Equipment maintenance
- Disinfection and sterilization
- Maintenance of specialty supplies and devices
- OR call response for blood, drugs, lab tests, and supplies
Anesthesia Specialists must have good interpersonal skills to promote a productive working environment. Anesthesia Specialists must have a minimum of one year experience in a clinical environment.
