Our health educators are available to:
- Provide general information about your condition or treatment
- Provide you with web page links and resources about your condition
- Help you find the right physician or surgeon to diagnose and/or treat your condition
- Tell you how to get a second opinion
- Help you make an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic
- Provide information and resources for your Cleveland Clinic visit

Live Chat FAQs
What is a "live chat"?
A live chat is a service that allows you to “talk” online with one of our health educators. The one-on-one conversation takes place in real time as you and the educator type in questions and answers.
How do I begin a chat?
Before you start your chat, a pre-chat questionnaire will ask for your name, date of birth and a brief description of your question. This will help the Health Educator answer your question more quickly. You may also be asked to provide your email address or phone number in case the chat is disconnected unexpectedly.
Will anyone have access to my information?
No. The information is secure and not shared with anyone. Please review our privacy statement for more information.
Who will be answering the questions?
Professional health educators from the Patient Education and Health Information department at Cleveland Clinic conduct all chats.
How can I get a transcript of the chat?
At the end of your chat, you will be asked to complete a brief post-chat survey and have an opportunity to ask for a transcript to be e-mailed to you and. Please take the time to complete this survey, because your feedback helps us improve our service and keep Patients First!
