Formally established in 1976, the International Center (functioning within the department of Global Patient Services) provides high-quality service and care to all international patients and their families.
The International Center's staff includes more than 60 Patient Service Specialists, Patient Service Coordinators, Financial Counselors and medical education experts striving to make sure all your special needs are met. This staff of dedicated professionals can help with the following services before, during and after your visit:
Before:
- Scheduling medical appointments
- Confirming and rescheduling airline reservations
- Making hotel or housing arrangements in Cleveland
- Arranging ground transportation from the airport and securing car rentals
- Collecting an initial deposit for scheduling purposes and estimating the cost of services
During:
- Providing a Patient Service Specialist for medical appointments
- Assisting with hospital admissions and follow-up doctor visits
- Ensuring patients understand instructions from physicians
- Arranging leisure activities for the family
- Estimating the cost of services and collecting payment for services rendered
- Collecting any additional deposits as needed or applicable deductibles for scheduled medical services
After:
- Helping obtain copies of medical reports/films after consultations are completed
- Managing prescription requests
- Facilitating communication with Cleveland Clinic physicians
