Elective Rotations

We are proud to offer medical student elective rotations to those who are interested in a first-hand exposure to our program. The Cleveland Clinic offers elective rotations in many specialty areas to students who have completed their core clinical rotations and are in their final year of medical school. We are happy to work with you to create a unique experience. There are opportunities available in inpatient and outpatient general pediatrics, as well as all pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties. A maximum of (2) four week rotations may be scheduled up to three months in advance.

The contact for the elective program is Pat Gasser, Program Education Coordinator

International Physician Observer Program

The Observership program is an informal shadowing experience that enables participants to watch procedures and surgeries; attend patient rounds and teaching conferences; and have full access to Cleveland Clinic’s medical library system. Federal regulations prevent observers from having patient care responsibilities or involvement in any form of volunteer research.
