The Cleveland Clinic EMS Education website provides a single resource for education and support to area Fire/EMS departments with information on all aspects of EMS pre-hospital care. Whether improving your skills or looking for specific EMS education topics for re-certification, the Cleveland Clinic EMS Education web site is a "one-stop shop" for educational needs and event information. We are dedicated to providing all EMS providers with quality Continuing Education in a variety of clinical settings as well as online educational opportunities. There are several options for the EMS provider to choose from.

Bill is a veteran of the Fairview Park Fire Department where he worked for 25 years as a paramedic and firefighter with the last twelve years as Fire Captain. He became an ICU nurse at Fairview in 2012, later transitioning to the role of an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Fairview's Emergency Department where he was awarded the Emergency Services APP of the Year award in 2019. He has degrees from The Cleveland Institute of Music, Case Western Reserve University, and Kent State University. He and his wife, Tanis, live in Strongsville where they are the proud parents of nine children.

Chris joined ESI in 2014 as an emergency medicine physician at Medina Hospital after completing his EM residency at Summa where he served as chief resident. He has done an excellent job as the EMS Medical Director for Medina Hospital overseeing 12 EMS departments and over 300 pre-hospital providers in Medina County. He officially began in the role of ESI Enterprise EMS Medical Director on June 1, 2020. Dr. Myers will be responsible for all aspects of our pre-hospital leadership. The EMS Medical Directors at all our sites will report to Dr. Myers in their EMS roles. Dr. Myers will work closely with Bill Merimee, EMS Director, and all our EMS coordinators in addition to all the fire chiefs under our medical direction.

Michael oversees all EMS education across the Cleveland Clinic Health System. He joined Cleveland Clinic in 2018 as an EMS Instructor for Cleveland Clinic Akron General's Paramedic Education Program. He became the program's Clinical Coordinator before serving as the Program Director in 2020, where he oversaw the initial education of nearly 160 students annually. Michael was awarded Cleveland Clinic Educator of the Year in 2021. He previously worked as a Flight Paramedic for Akron Children's Hospital, where he became board-certified in Neonatal and Pediatric Transport. Michael still works as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Seville-Guilford Fire Department in Medina County and also serves on the Education Committee & Rural EMS Committee for the Ohio Emergency Medical, Fire, & Transport Board. He has a master's in business administration with a focus on healthcare management and a bachelor's in organizational leadership.
