Overview

CoolSculpting® (or cryolipolysis) is a nonsurgical fat reduction procedure that uses cold temperature to reduce fat deposits in certain areas of your body. The procedure is designed to reduce localized fat deposits or bulges that don’t respond to diet and exercise.

Areas commonly addressed with this treatment include your abdomen, hips, back fat, thighs, arms and neck. The effect is similar to liposuction in that it reduces fat but not skin. Liposuction reduces fat by vacuum suction, while CoolSculpting® does so by freezing fat (if loose skin is the problem, then traditional surgical procedures are generally preferable).

CoolSculpting® is completely nonsurgical, so you can typically return to work and normal activities immediately.

Why choose us?

When considering CoolSculpting®, choose a surgeon with significant experience performing the procedure. Friends, family members or an internist or primary care doctor are often helpful in suggesting the best surgeon.

For the best results, choose a cosmetic surgeon who’s affiliated with a major medical center, such as Cleveland Clinic. Make sure to ask your cosmetic surgeon about their credentials, training and how many procedures they’ve performed.
