Biography
Zubina Mawji, MD, MPH is a Primary Care Physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada. She has a strong interest in preventive health, public health and social policy, women’s health, and quality improvement strategies in healthcare delivery.
Dr. Mawji earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network. Driven by her interest in health systems and policy, she also obtained a Master of Public Health from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. She is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is certified by The Menopause Society.
Dr. Mawji is committed to partnering with her patients to address health concerns and support them in achieving optimal health and wellness. She strongly values patient autonomy and shared decision-making, viewing patients as active partners in their healthcare journey.
Actively engaged in research, Dr. Mawji has received multiple grants for her work, with publications in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals. She has presented her research at major conferences across North America and has held several academic appointments, including Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, as well as Assistant Professor of Clinical Health Evaluation Sciences at Penn State.
Dr. Mawji is frequently invited to speak on topics including preventive health, longevity, and women’s health.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Mawji enjoys spending time with her husband and two children traveling and engaging with diverse cultures. She speaks English, Spanish, Swahili, and Gujarati.
