Biography

Alison Fong is a physiotherapist at Cleveland Clinic Canada. She specializes in orthopaedics and sports medicine, and is a certified pelvic floor therapist.

Ms. Fong always knew that she wanted to work in the healthcare field, and her years as a competitive gymnast shaped her love of sports and athletics. After volunteering her time in the physiotherapy field in high school, she knew physiotherapy was the right career for her. Ms. Fong graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from The University of Western Ontario in 2000. She later earned a Master of Health Science in Manipulative Physiotherapy from The University of Sydney in Australia. 

Ms. Fong is dedicated to helping her patients solve their unique issues. She believes that every patient is like a puzzle, and she enjoys helping them put the pieces back together so that they can achieve their goals. She truly enjoys interacting with and building a rapport with her patients. 

Ms. Fong lived and worked in New York City for five years, where she developed a special interest in treating women’s health issues; including pregnancy, post-partum, incontinence and pelvic pain.  Alison has a background in martial arts, dance, and competed provincially in both artistic and rhythmic gymnastics.  She has taken numerous manual therapy courses including Level 3 with The Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and several other special interest courses including fascial manipulation, acupuncture, McKenzie, and FitForeGolf. These courses allow her to provide a varied yet effective approach to treating clients.
