Biography
Matthew Benjamin, MD, has held the position of Head Radiologist at Cleveland Clinic Canada for over a decade. Dr. Benjamin is on staff at Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto and has a wide range of expertise in all areas of radiology, with a special interest in breast imaging and MRI.
Dr. Benjamin completed his undergraduate studies at Middlebury College in Vermont. He attended the Boston University School of Medicine and did his internship at the Mayo Clinic-Scottsdale. He completed both his residency in Diagnostic radiology and Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard University. During these years, he undertook extra training in informatics as well as musculoskeletal radiology and neuroradiology.
Previously, Dr. Benjamin was on staff at the University Health Network/ Mt Sinai hospital in the divisions of Interventional Radiology and Abdominal Imaging and acted as Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Toronto. Following his work in academics, Dr. Benjamin helped build a teleradiology network at Ellesmere X-ray. There, he served as managing partner and was responsible for a team of over 100 clerks, technologists and radiologists.
When Dr. Benjamin is not working, he enjoys golfing, fishing and exercising.
