Biographical Sketch
Paul M. Saluan, MD, holds joint appointments in the Center for Sports Health and the Center for Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery within the Orthopaedic and Rheumatologic Institute at Cleveland Clinic. He specializes in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery and in pediatric orthopaedic surgery. He is certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
In addition, Dr. Saluan is the developer and Director of the Orthopaedic Arthroscopy Skills Lab Curriculum. He also acts as a Contributor to a Pediatric Outcomes Instrument being developed to assist in pediatric injury/disease-specific outcomes research.

- Patent pending on surgical hypothermia preventative cap; proprietary design to help greatly reduce incidence and magnitude of intraoperative/postoperative hypothermia, thereby potentially significantly reducing postoperative complications including infection
- Active ongoing involvement in development of novel anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction technique for skeletally immature patients with ACL tears
- Development of Arthroscopy Skills Lab Curriculum for orthopaedic surgery residents and sports medicine fellows; developing standardized validated tool for assessment of resident and fellow performance in arthroscopic skills exercises
