Biographical Sketch

Martin I. Newman, MD, is staff member of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida, a position he has held since 2005. Dr. Newman's interests include cosmetic and aesthetic plastic surgery, breast and body contouring, reconstructive plastic surgery and non-invasive techniques.

He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, and completed his plastic surgery training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University, Cornell University, New York, (plastic surgery residency), Cleveland Clinic Florida (aesthetic and cosmetic surgery fellowship) and at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, FL (general surgery residency)

Dr. Newman has authored seven book chapters, 24 professional journal articles on plastic and cosmetic surgery, and has presented 56 lectures and abstracts on plastic and cosmetic surgery. He has contributed to nine television, magazine and Internet publications, all of which focus on plastic and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Newman is also Adjunct Clinical Professor at Barry University in Miami Springs, Florida. As well, he serves as Education Director and Associate Program Director of our Plastic Surgery residency.
