Language Access Services

Non-English Speaking Individuals

Language interpreters for those who speak English less than very well are provided at no charge. This service is provided to patients and their companions at all Cleveland Clinic locations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Both over-the-phone interpreter services and on-site interpreters are accessible.

Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Individuals

Deaf patients and/or their companions who use American Sign Language (ASL) are provided Sign Language interpreters at no charge. On-site interpreters are available for scheduled appointments at all locations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) is also offered at all Cleveland Clinic hospitals and most Family Health Centers. This technology provides quick access to remote ASL interpreters.
