For the 18th consecutive year, Cleveland Clinic’s heart program has ranked as the best in the nation, earning the No. 1 ranking in U.S. News & World Report’s “2012-13 Best Hospitals.” Since 1994, no hospital in the country has ranked higher than Cleveland Clinic in cardiac care.
Cleveland Clinic again placed among the nation’s best hospitals overall, ranking 4th in the country. This year, our Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute received the distinction of ranking No. 1 in both urology and nephrology, and once again, the hospital’s cancer program was ranked in the Top 10 at No. 6. Ten other Cleveland Clinic specialties also ranked in the Top 10.
Among Cleveland Clinic’s highly ranked programs, 11 placed in the Top 5 and seven – heart, kidney disorders and urology, gastroenterology, diabetes and endocrinology, ear, nose and throat and rheumatology – placed among the Top 2. Cleveland Clinic earned the highest ranking of any Ohio hospital in 14 categories.
U.S. News also ranked hospitals by region. Seven of our regional hospitals — Fairview (4), Hillcrest (5), South Pointe (6), Marymount (8), Lutheran (9), Euclid (10) and Lakewood (10) — ranked within the Top 10 of Cleveland-area hospitals.
Cleveland Clinic Florida Ranked in Gastroenterology
Cleveland Clinic Florida has been ranked #48 in Gastroenterology according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2012-13 Best Hospitals. Cleveland Clinic Florida is one of only three Florida-based gastroenterology programs to make the top 50 rankings.

Cleveland Clinic Children's was top ranked among Northern Ohio children’s hospitals in 10 out of 10 rated specialties in U.S. News & World Report’s 2012-13 edition of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals.
Cleveland Clinic Children's Neurology & Neurosurgery program ranked No. 1 in Ohio for the fifth consecutive year and ranked No. 3 nationally. For the first time our Cleveland Clinic Children’s Gastroenterology program was ranked nationally at No. 9 and continues to be one of the best in Ohio. Overall, Cleveland Clinic Children’s earned national rankings in 10 out of 10 specialties.
