Clinical trials are designed to identify treatments and therapies that are potentially more effective and/or have fewer side effects than standard treatment protocols. Patients in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation have access to numerous studies, some designed by Cleveland Clinic physicians, others as a part of multi-center trials in partnership with organizations. These associations contribute to the exciting environment of clinical trial research and development, discussion and the sharing of data that is so important to the dynamic evolution of the therapeutic protocols of tomorrow's brain tumor treatments.
