Cleveland Clinic Medina Volunteers

Medina Hospital has over 300 volunteers who dedicate thousands of hours of service annually, allowing us to continue to provide the quality health care our community has come to expect. Our volunteers provide a variety of services in nearly every department of the hospital. Our goal is to match the volunteer’s talents and interests to the opportunities available. Placement is based on current openings and your availability.

If you are looking for a way to help others, let us help you. Medina Hospital is looking for dedicated, fun, friendly individuals to join our family of volunteers one day per week for four hours.

The volunteer process includes successful completion of:

  • Application
  • Reference check
  • Interview
  • The volunteer process includes successful completion of: Online Onboarding. If Volunteer Services determines an applicant is a good fit for our program, an email will be sent with information on completing our Red Carpet online onboarding system after the interview.
  • Security Clearance for volunteers the age of 18: The Red Carpet online onboarding system will provide each applicant with a background check through our Protective Services Department at no cost. A social security number or Visa/Passport number is required.
  • Tuberculosis test
  • General Health Assessment and providing proof of immunization history
  • General orientation
  • Training for individual assignments

Adult Volunteers

Adult volunteers provide support in nearly every department of the hospital, seven days a week.

Student Volunteers

Student volunteers age 15 and up provide support to the hospital in a variety of ways.

Canine Crew

Canine Crew is an animal-assisted therapeutic program which features patient visits by specially trained and nationally certified dogs.
