Overview

Located at 14601 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood, OH, Lakewood Family Health Center is a 64,700 square-foot, $34 million facility, which opened late summer of 2018. Lakewood Family Health Center's primary service area is western Cuyahoga County, primarily the cities of Lakewood, Rocky River, Bay Village, Westlake, Fairview Park, the eastern portion of Lorain County and the western portion of the Cleveland (Detroit Shoreway area).

Communication is a vital part of any EMS Medical Direction System. Knowing whom to contact when you need medical direction/issues is vitally important and can be aggravating at times. Listed below are the various Medical Direction facilities as well as the Medical Directors and EMS Coordinators responsible for medical direction.

Dr. Joe Lally is a Emergency Room Physician with privileges at Fairview Hospital's Emergency Department and Lakewood Family Health Center. He grew up in Rocky River and attended St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland. He continued his undergraduate studies at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Medical School at Loyola University of Chicago and competed his residency at Metro Health Medical Center. He currently is the Cleveland Clinic EMS Medical Director for the Rocky River Fire Department, Fairview Park Fire Department and Lakewood Fire Department.

Mary is currently a paramedic with the Lakewood Fire Department as well as an Emergency Department nurse at Cleveland Clinic Brunswick FHC. She has worked as a Dispatcher for the Central Medical Emergency Dispatch Center as well as a member of Cleveland EMS for 4 years. She is a State certified EMS Instructor as well as an AHA instructor for all disciplines. She resides in the Brunswick area and enjoys spending time with her family and horses.

EMS Continuing Education classes are scheduled and conducted at the respective Fire Departments listed under our Medical Direction.
