Nurses are encouraged to participate on committees that address issues such as the structure of nursing at Cleveland Clinic, quality management/continuous quality improvement, continuity of care and case management. Active membership in professional nursing organizations is also encouraged.

Professional Ladder

Professional Ladder

The Professional Ladder is designed to promote and recognize excellence in practice, foster professional growth and development, facilitate career advancement, and support caregiver recognition and retention. The Professional Ladder aligns with the Stanley Shalom Zielony Institute for Nursing Excellence's Professional Practice Model.  Cleveland Clinic nursing caregivers have the opportunity to participate in and advance to the next level on the Professional Ladder by completing required activities within that level and by demonstrating innovation through accomplishments.
