Mladen Golubić, MD, PhD Medical Director of the Center for Lifestyle Medicine
Dr. Golubić is a graduate of the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, Croatia. He earned his doctorate from the same University following a five year post-doctoral fellowship at the Max-Planck Institute for Biology, Germany in the field of immunogenetics. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His specialty interests include lifestyle medicine, cardiovascular disease reversal and integrative approaches to lifestyle-related cancer management.
Fredina J. Usher-Weems, MAR, BA/Ed, ACSM, AFAA Fitness Program Manager for the Center for Lifestyle Medicine
Fredina has a Masters of Arts and Religion from Liberty University, and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration/Health and Education from Cleveland State University. Fredina is certified in Health Management, Group Fitness and Personal Training through the College of Sports Medicine, Cooper Institute, and Aerobic and Fitness Association of America. Fredina is the Ohio Regional Trainer for biblical based health and fitness certifications. Throughout her professional and personal fitness journey, she has energetically encouraged and assisted many people of all ages and fitness levels to establish and maintain active lifestyles.
Jane Ehrman, MEd Health Educator with the Center for Lifestyle Medicine
Jane has a Masters of Education in Health Education with an emphasis on mind/body medicine and did post-graduate training at the Harvard Mind/Body Medical Institute and Academy for Guided Imagery. She is also a certified Intrinsic Wellness Coach. Jane believes that in order to change your life, you have to change your mind. She looks forward to helping you learn effective mind body tools to ease your mind, improve your productivity and make the mental shift to a healthier way of living and being.
Jim Perko CEC, AAC
Jim Perko started his when as a student at the Culinary Institute of America, he was chosen to be one of four apprentices to the 1976 US Culinary Olympic Team.
Jim’s career in health care began in 1985 when he took a position as the Executive Chef of Cleveland Clinic’s Lakewood Hospital. In 1988, Jim founded the National award winning “Food is Knowledge” program that is now a signature part of the Cleveland Clinic’s community outreach wellness and is taught in the Cleveland Municipal Schools district.
In 1998 Jim became Executive Chef for Cleveland Clinic servicing the Board of Governors and Medical Staff. Jim now serves as the Executive Chef for the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute where he is able to combine his culinary expertise with his passion for healthy cooking and living. Jim does this by teaching, creating and helping others in the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Lifestyle Medicine, Lifestyle 180 program, Lifestyle U program, public school districts, community venue’s and personal executive clients. He is one of 114 current ACF certified Judges. Jim Perko is Drs. Oz & Roizen’s YouBeauty.com’s culinary expert columnist and the innovative creator of hundreds of deliciously healthy recipes, many of which can be found in the Dr.Oz’s and Dr. Roizen’s “YOU” book series.

Judi has brought the ease, benefits and simplicity of yoga to many wellness programs not only in Lifestyle Medicine but also in Employee Health. Judi also certifies students to become yoga teachers and yoga therapists.
Kristin Kirkpatrick, MS, RD, LD Manager, Wellness Nutrition Services at Cleveland Clinic
Kristin Kirkpatrick is an experienced presenter, an award winning Dietitian, an Author and a regular television guest on both local and national shows as well a contributor to several national magazines and newspapers.
Kristin Kirkpatrick has over 15 years of experience in the health management area, holds an MS in Health Promotion Management from American University in Washington, DC, and a BA in Political Science from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. She is licensed as a Registered Dietitian in the state of Ohio. In May, 2012, Kristin received the Ohio Outstanding Dietetic Educator of the year award. Kristin also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Cleveland Foodbank.
She presents on a variety of nutrition and wellness related topics and is a regular contributor on the Dr. Oz show and serves on Dr. Oz’s medical advisory board. In addition, Kirkpatrick writes for the Huffington Post, is the nutrition advisor on the YouBeauty web site and is a featured expert on Cleveland Clinic's Health Hub. She can be found quoted in numerous newspapers and magazines.
