Damien Billow, MD, is a staff physician in the department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic. He trained in Orthopaedics at the Cleveland Clinic Orthopaedic Residency Program, and did additional training in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at Vanderbilt University. He specializes in acute fracture care of the upper and lower extremities, including pelvis and acetabulum. He also treats nonunion and malunion fractures.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, as well as a member of the Orthopedic Trauma Association.
Dr. Billow is interested in new techniques in fracture care and nonunions, as well as teaching others. He won the Resident Teacher of the Year Award in 2015. He is involved in research on Vitamin D, nonunion and hip fractures.

The appointment was made while we were in the ER for Mom's fracture. I had no idea what Dr to see for a follow up. Options were given to me right In the treatment room and the appointment was scheduled right there with us. It was so convenient!

Dr Billow is the best!! His beside manner is excellent. He was so confident he could fix my non union fracture on the first time I saw him! He went above and beyond to make certain that my femur was finally stabilized! He was pleased that I was walking as well as I was. He encouraged me by telling me that I can play golf again!! I need to ease into it but that's great with me. I would and do highly recommend Cleveland clinic!

We were amazed that with only one phone phone call that we were able to get an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon within 6 days!!! His office called me a few days later and said that after he reviewed my reports he would prefer I see one of the trauma team members. I respected that. I had an appointment within a weeks time!! We can't do that where we live!! I've been so pleased with Dr Billow and his staff and Cleveland Clinic in general for the care I've been given. I had already had 2 surgeries on my femur. It was still a non union fracture. Now my femur is finally healed!! It is stabilized and not going anywhere. Dr Billow and his staff are wonderful and I highly recommend Dr. Billow, his staff and Cleveland Clinic!!!

Dr. Billow is an excellent Doctor who takes his responsibilities very seriously. I had to ask him questions instead of him voluntarily tell me things. I had a lot of faith In him and he was positive about my recovery and efforts. I felt better when I left his office. He should smile more, he has pretty eyes .
