Biographical Sketch
Fuad Jubran, MD, is a staff cardiologist in the Section of Clinical Cardiology, the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, at the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Cardiology.
A native of Lebanon, Dr. Jubran did his undergraduate work in biology and received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut. He completed his internship and a three-year residency in internal medicine also at the American University before accepting a residency in cardiology at the University Hospitals of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He was associate professor at the American University hospital, Beirut, Lebanon until 1986. He joined Cleveland Clinic as a staff cardiologist in 1986.
At present, Dr. Jubran is co-chair of the Middle East Medical Assembly at the American University of Beirut, Chairman of the Committee of Sabbagh International Preparatory Fellowship Program at Cleveland Clinic, he is physician Director of Development for Middle east International Affairs. He is past Director of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit at the Cleveland Clinic and former Head of the Section of Coronary Intensive Care. Past academic appointments include a teaching fellow at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Associate Professor in Internal Medicine at the American University of Beirut.
Dr. Jubran has presented his clinical experience at medical conferences worldwide, including the American heart association scientific session, Middle East Medical Assembly at the American University in Beirut, Lebanon, the Saudi Heart association, Syrian Cardiovascular Symposium, the Mediterranean Associates of Cardiology, and the Al Ain International Cardiology Conference, to name a few. Dr. Jubran has authored or co-authored articles on his specialty interests in such medical journals as Critical Care Medicine, Chest, and the Journal of the Saudi Heart Association on topics related to new treatments for heart failure, managing acute myocardial infarction and the dimensions of cardiac critical care, among others.
Dr. Jubran is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. In addition, he is a member of the Ohio State Medical Association.
