Biographical Sketch
Manjula Gupta, M.Sc., Ph.D., received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Agra University, India, and she received her postgraduate training at Cleveland Clinic. She is the Medical Director of the Endocrine, Immunology and Cancer markers Laboratory, in the Department of Clinical Pathology at Cleveland Clinic, and she has a secondary appointment in the Department of Endocrinology. She also holds a faculty positions as Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pathology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and as Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Clinical Chemistry, Cleveland State University.
Her major areas of research include endocrine autoimmunity and the role of hormones in the regulation of breast and prostate and thyroid cancer growth. She is a member of numerous professional societies, including the Endocrine Society, American Thyroid Association, American Association of Immunologists and American Association for Cancer Research, American Association of Clinical Chemists and American Diabetes Association. She is a fellow of National Academy of Clinical Biochemists.
Dr. Gupta has authored or coauthored 16 book chapters and review articles, 96 peer-reviewed manuscripts and 170 abstracts in various scientific journals. Her lab provides analysis of all endocrine tests autoantibodies as well as of biochemical markers of cancer as routine diagnostic procedures.
