Biographical Sketch
Gian M. Novaro, MD is a staff cardiologist and Director of Echocardiography in the Department of Cardiology at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, FL.
Dr. Novaro received his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School in 1995. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and served his fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases and Advanced Cardiac Imaging at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He is board-certified by the ABIM in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and by the National Board of Echocardiography. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography.
Dr. Novaro is actively involved in education and research, and has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals including Circulation, New England Journal of Medicine, Archives of Internal Medicine, and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. He is an editorial referee for 19 medical journals and has authored or co-authored over 100 abstracts, articles, and book chapters in the field of cardiology. He has contributed book chapters including "Harrison's Textbook On-Line", and "The Cleveland Clinic Cardiology Board Review". He specializes and speaks nationally in his areas of expertise, which include aortic valvular disease, diseases of the aorta, and echocardiography.
